Man Eaters Camp
During the construction of the Railway Bridge over the Tsavo River in 1898 by the British for what was then known as the Uganda Railway, approximately 140 workers were killed by two men-less male lions, over a period of 3 months.
The original site where these events took place is where today’s Man Easters Camp Is located; the site’s history goes all the way back to colonial days of old, during the construction of the Tsavo Bridge.
Man Eaters Camp is an exclusive camp comprising of 30 fully furnished en-suite spacious luxurious tents nestled o the banks of the Tsavo River accompanied with an ‘out of this world’ view of the wilderness Tsavo West National Park has to offer.
